Top 5: TV Shows

Hopefully this will be a regular thing I'll do with my top 5 things I love.

This week it's my favourite TV shows. Now I watch a LOT of TV especially the American ones and this list would be full of stuff I like but this is more of a 'Desert-island' situation :)

5. American Dad

I have been a big fan of Seth Mc Farlen's shows (which include Family Guy and The Cleveland show) and as much as I love his other shows there's something about American Dad that I just love. My favourite character is Roger who is by far the funniest character in my opinion.

4. Supernatural

I first started watching this show a week before my final IB exams...maybe not the brightest idea and I have to say I partly blame Sam and Dean from me not getting a better score in my Biology exam. But then again it was SO worth it!

If you don't know let me introduce you to the show!
Sam and Dean are two brothers whose life is all about demon hunting. They are on the hunt for a demon which killed their mother while little Sammie and Dean were still children.
This show is very much based around what it means to be a family and what you would do in order to save your family.

It also helps that the show's creator Erik Kripke knows how to make fun out of the show and others around!

The fact that they are pretty darned hot has nothing to do with the show's success :P

3. Firefly

This short-lived series created by Joss Whedon aka God tells the story of Malcome Reynolds captain of the starship Serenity. With the help of his crew, captain Reynolds lives the life of a gold-hearted criminal, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor somewhat.

This truly is an amzing series with a great cast and excellent story telling. If you only watch one show out of this list make it this one (and then watch the film 'Serenity').

2. Sex and the City

Can you believe I didn't start watching this until 2009?
I was going through my first relationship break-up (well if you can really call it a relationship...) when my good friend Emma let me sit in her room, drink hot chocolate and watch this with her <3

It really has changed the way I perceive men and my relationships with them and my friends.
The movie in my opinion is not as good as the series (AT ALL) but then again it never was going to be as good :)
Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda redefined what was acceptable to talk to your girlfriends about.

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

This is my #1 show for a reason. It played a MASSIVE part in my childhood (age 10-16). Beautiful and funny writing, great actors, superb character development and overall KICK-ASS!

Buffy stands for women empowerment and who doesn't like seeing a girl kick some demon ass ;)
Warning: If you haven't already seen this show be prepared to lose a big chunk of your life watching this :)

The video for this isn't from a Buffy episode but rather a video showing Buffy Vs Edward (Twilight) exactly what Buffy stands for!
